Thursday, September 20th, 2007

Eureka Springs, Arkansas, is a special place that embodies history with Victorian homes and a trolley that will take you around the city. One of the greatest places to visit in Eureka Springs is the 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa. This hotel is located downtown in the historic district and the history surrounding this hotel makes it worth visiting. You will see the towering hotel and notice its old charm immediately. A great way to enjoy the hotel is to tour the inside or even stay there and then walk out the front door and take a horse drawn carriage ride around the historic city and really feel the personality of this city.inflatable speed cage

If you aren’t interested in a carriage ride then you can still get around Eureka Springs, but in a different manner. What would that be? A trolley ride of course! This historic city has trolley services that can take you around the city. It’s pretty cheap too with a one ride pass costing $2, a full day pass costs $4 and a two day pass $6. The two day pass must be used on consecutive days. Kids six to 11 are charged only $1 per ride. The tram tours of the Eureka Springs historic district cost a bit more and have a different schedule than the regular trolley blow up water slides.

The tram operates March 4 – October 30 on a daily basis. In November it is open only Thursday through Monday, and then it operates a very limited schedule in December. Adult tickets cost $8.50 and kids under 12 cost $4. Kids that ride on an adults lap are free of charge. Check out one of these narrated tram tours at the visitor information center and learn all there is to know about Eureka Springs.inflatable waterslide canada

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

Arkansas massage therapy schools are qualified to teach you what you need to know to become a professional massage therapist. In addition to learning the history and philosophies of massage, you will get plenty of professionally supervised practical experience in applying various massage techniques. Hands-on lessons in a clinical setting under the instruction of massage therapy professionals will build skills for practicing massage therapy.

Massage therapy schools in Arkansas are designed to provide necessary education and training in the art of natural healing. Aspiring massage therapists will learn vital knowledge and skills essential for the practice of massage in spas, health clubs, and athletic organizations, and hospitals and medical offices. Opportunities may include the study of various forms of Asian and Oriental massage as well as Western forms.

Typically, Arkansas massage schools will cover anatomy, physiology, and pathology, as well as medical language and massage therapy theory. Additional courses will provide students with customer service skills and knowledge for dealing with infection control, providing sports massage and CPR, and of medical law applicable to massage therapy.

Massage students have opportunities to learn about kinesiology, reflexology, ergonomics, weight control, and nutrition. They may also gain communications and business skills to prepare for managing and operating a private massage therapy clinic. If you decide to continue your natural healing education, some massage schools offer courses in other, more advanced studies, such as acupuncture or chiropractic, for instance.

Upon graduation, you will need to investigate the state rules and regulations for massage therapy businesses before beginning to practice. Your massage school will be happy to tell you about rules and regulations for education and examination required for massage therapy certification in the state of Arkansas. If your massage career takes you elsewhere, you will be wise to look into regional rules and regulations to be sure you can meet those requirements.
